Connecticut license plates that honor the state’s most famous residents are getting electric.
The state’s Department of Transportation announced on Wednesday that it will replace its old plate with an electric license plate.
The new one will be a copper alloy plate with the words “Connecticut License Plate” on it.
It will be replaced with an updated metal license plate that will feature the words, “Connecticut’s Newest and Most Valuable Motor Vehicle License Plate.”
The new license plate will be produced at a factory in Hartford.
It is not known how much it will cost to produce.
A previous version of this article stated that the new plate would be the state of Connecticut.
It was the state, not the state and not the department of transportation.
